The Yamaha WR155 is the trail bike to rent in Bali — a light, street-legal enduro that turns the island’s back roads, rice-paddy tracks and volcano trails into your playground. Fuel-injected, long-travel and forgiving, it’s as happy commuting through Canggu as it is in the dirt. It’s also the bike almost nobody else on the island rents: most shops hand you a 125cc scooter, hand back your passport and wish you luck. Where to ride a Yamaha WR155 in Bali
Point it north to the Kintamani and Munduk trails, out to the black-sand beaches around Pererenan, or onto the jungle tracks behind Ubud. Because it’s road-legal you ride straight from your villa to the trailhead — no truck, no transfer, no fuss. The favourite loops our renters actually ride: Canggu → Bedugul → Munduk on the back roads, the volcano track up toward Mount Batur, and a multi-day loop up the north coast via Lovina — the kind of roadtrip you simply wouldn’t take on a scooter. In town it filters through Canggu traffic easily; out of town it’s the bike you chose Bali for.

Yamaha WR155 rental Bali — frequently asked questions
- How much does a Yamaha WR155 rental cost in Bali?
- Published rates, no hidden fees: IDR 250K/day, IDR 1.5M/week and IDR 4.5M/month. The monthly rate works out to around IDR 150K per day — less than most scooter rentals charge for a Vario or NMAX. Delivery to your villa or hotel across South Bali and Ubud is free, a quality helmet is included, and the deposit is refundable (your passport stays with you).
- Do I need off-road experience to rent the WR155 in Bali?
- No — the WR155 is light (~134 kg), forgiving and easy to manage, which makes it one of the best bikes in Bali for first-time trail riders. What you do need is a full motorcycle licence with an IDP (International Driving Permit) endorsed for motorcycles, together with your home country licence — the same requirement as any geared bike on the island. If you can ride a 150cc manual confidently, you’ll be comfortable on the WR155.
- Why rent a WR155 instead of a scooter (NMAX / Vario)?
- Scooters are fine for the supermarket run. The WR155 is for actually seeing Bali: 21"/18" wheels and long-travel suspension for the volcano and rice-paddy tracks, a 6-speed manual for real road riding, and the ground clearance to handle broken back roads without bottoming out. Our renters regularly take them on multi-day roadtrips up north — a loop most people would never attempt on an NMAX. Same price bracket as a premium scooter, a completely different island.
